Master's Degree in Business Management and Entrepreurship, Hämeen ammattikorkeakoulu (HAMK)

The Degree Programme in Business Management and Entrepreneurship is intended for persons who wish to develop their international competences and know-how in international business. The studies focus on the internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises, develop the students' understanding and knowledge of global business environments, strategic management and innovation as well as customer relationship management in international markets. The degree programme provides students with a Master's degree (Master of Business Administration).

The core themes of the degree programme include: Strategic Thinking and Managing Change, Global Business Excellence, Customer Focus in International Business, and Organisational Development.

About the degree

In the Government Decree on Polytechnics (= universities of applied sciences, UAS), the aim of UAS Master's degrees is defined as providing students with comprehensive and deep knowledge of a specific field of expertise, needed for developing the market in that field, as well as the necessary theoretical knowledge for completing demanding specialist and management tasks in the field. A further, general objective is to provide an in-depth picture of the field of expertise, of its position in the market and its social significance, as well as skills in following and analysing current research and professional practices in the field. (Government Decree 423/2005.)

Applicants are required to have at least a bachelor-level degree in the field of Master's degree programme as well as a minimum of three years' work experience in a field of one's degree.

Master's degrees in universities of applied sciences are equal to other Finnish Master's degrees, and give the same qualifications as them.
